# DuesIQ > DuesIQ is HOA software for self-managed communities: HOAs, condo > associations and POAs run by a volunteer board instead of a management > company. It puts dues collection with autopay, double-entry accounting, > bank reconciliation, and a community website with board and resident > portals in one place. Every plan starts with 30 days free, no credit card, > and free white glove setup. ## What DuesIQ does - Dues collection: bills are created automatically on the community's schedule and emailed to each owner. Owners pay by bank account (ACH) or card through Stripe, and can set up autopay once. Autopay charges whatever is open on the home's account, so a dues change needs no new sign-up. - Payment fees: the board decides whether the resident or the community covers processing. Defaults are 3.5% + $0.50 for cards and 1% + $1 for bank payments, capped at $8. DuesIQ never charges a separate per-payment fee. - Accounting: a double-entry general ledger where payments post on their own, chart of accounts, journal entries, vendor bills and reimbursements, check writing and printing, deposit slips, check images, budgets, and several bank accounts. - Reports: balance sheet, income statement, budget vs actual, cash flow, general ledger, trial balance, accounts receivable and payable aging, and a board packet the board can generate in one click. - Bank reconciliation: an optional read-only bank connection through Plaid brings in transactions and statements daily. Without it, bank accounts are added by hand and reconciled from uploaded statements. - Community website: every community gets a public site (announcements, amenities, documents, contact) plus a private portal. Board members see finances and operations; residents see their balance, payments, autopay and amenity bookings. - Operations: amenity reservations with agreements and deposits, voting and ballots, violations and architectural review (ARC) requests, estoppel requests, document storage, and email to the whole community. - Switching: DuesIQ imports homes, owners, opening balances, documents and up to seven years of charge and payment history from exports of Buildium or other systems, or from spreadsheets. Homeowners re-enroll in autopay once, since bank authorizations cannot move between companies. - Security: two-factor sign-in is required for board members, each community's data is kept separate, card and bank details are handled by Stripe, and every change is logged. - Florida: the public site and records portal help Florida associations meet the state requirement to keep official records available to owners online. ## Who it is for Self-managed HOAs, condo associations and POAs, typically up to 350 homes.
